A promise is a promise. You commit to your words, you stick to what you’ve said and you do not go back on yourself.
Do not honour a promise if from the beginning it cannot be achieved. Do not make promises that you cannot guarantee.
Nowadays we treat what we say as just a saying, just a sentence and a lot of people do not see the power of words.
However if we all honoured everything we say, we acknowledge the importance in not swearing, in promising, in making remarks – wouldn’t we take what everyone says more seriously?
Think – is there really the need, do I need to say this, is there a message behind it, what is the consequences of saying it?

Make promises based only on what you can stick to.
If you can’t – do not.
